- SECRETARY
The Role. We are looking for an experienced Secretary for a permanent, full-time role to provide competent and effective support to solicitors.
The role will include –
- Typing of digital dictation and copy typing
- Completing legal forms, attending to emails
- Liaising by telephone, email and face to face with clients, solicitors and other organisations, including the Land Registry
- File and diary management
- Producing client invoices
- Maintaining files in accordance with the company’s procedures and compliance requirements.
The Salary £23,000-£27,000 per annum
The Person. You will be an experienced Secretary, with fast, accurate typing skills who is able to multitask and prioritise in a busy office. They should have excellent organisational skills, give high levels of attention to detail and have a pleasant, competent telephone manner. A strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is needed. The applicant must have the ability to use their initiative and work independently, as well as together with the rest of the firm, providing support for the solicitor that they work for.
Previous legal experience is an advantage but not essential for the right, well-motivated and experienced secretary.
The Firm. We are a well-established and regarded firm of solicitors based in Buckingham providing a range of principally property and private client legal services to both the local community and across the country through a number of solicitors, fee earners and support staff.

2. CONVEYANCER
Are you a hard working experienced Conveyancer with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude? If so our long established, busy, high street practice would like to hear from you. We are seeking to appoint a residential conveyancer (Solicitor, Licenced Conveyancer, CILEX or experienced Conveyancer) who can manage their own caseload from initial instruction to post completion. Experience is essential.
The role is a permanent full time one. Flexible working including some working from home possible for the right candidate after an initial probationary period
You will need to be able to undertake all aspects of residential conveyancing, freehold and leasehold sale and purchases. Shared ownership leases, new build transactions, remortgages and transfers of equity. Good client communication skills are essential.
The role will suit a confident, organized individual able to work under the usual conveyancing pressures, Busy, friendly and supportive firm which offers a competitive salary. The salary range is expected to be £32,000 – £38,000, dependent upon experience.

3. LEGAL CASHIER/ACCOUNTS MANAGER
Chandler Ray Solicitors have a vacancy for a full time experienced legal cashier/accounts manager to join our team on a permanent basis.
Job Requirements
- Control of all banking functions including daily reconciliations, depositing cheques and petty cash reconciliation.
- Processing client and office accounting transactions including postings, in accordance with SRA regulations.
- Preparation of cheques.
- Processing of bank transfers.
- Control of designated client deposit accounts.
- Resolution of residual balances in accordance with SRA regulations
- Checking and preparation of invoices.
- Administration of credit control procedures.
- Control of the purchase ledger including payments.
- Financial management reporting as required.
- Preparatory work for the annual accounts and liaison with Auditors.
- Processing salaries including PAYE & pension administration.
- VAT administration and returns.
- Office administration, including office insurance, practising certificates, professional indemnity insurance.
- Experience of Microsoft word, excel & outlook
